About Atonement

Our Lutheran church doesn’t claim any special monopoly on the truth, but we do believe that God’s Holy Spirit guides us through the Bible to know the true God and our relationship with Him.  For that purpose, the church conducts informational meetings and classes at convenient times for anyone who wishes to know more about our church and the Bible’s teachings. The number one purpose of Atonement Lutheran Church and the WELS (Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod) is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  As a church, we are not called to reshape the world, but to reshape the human heart.

It is the purpose of this congregation to bear witness to the amazing grace of God in the salvation which He has provided for all people in His Son Jesus Christ; to provide fellowship for all who confess their faith in Christ and subscribe to the Lutheran Confessions; to provide growth in the study and knowledge of God and His Will as revealed by Him in His Word, the Holy Scriptures.

It is the goal of this congregation to support the ministry of Atonement by God’s grace through the stewardship of its members.  At the same time it continues to support the worldwide ministry of the Gospel through the combined mission endeavors of the congregations of the Wisconsin Synod.
